Sushi Pop: Sushi Taxi Reinvents Sushi for Summer
Sushi on a stick? You bet. Sushi Taxi is launching Sushi Pop, a brand-new format inspired by frozen treats, designed to be enjoyed on the go all summer long.
With this new offering, Sushi Taxi is becoming the first sushi chain in Quebec to roll out the Sushi Pop concept across its network on a large scale.
Sushi Pop will officially be available at Sushi Taxi restaurants across Quebec starting June 25, 2026.
What is Sushi Pop?
Imagine the experience of eating sushi… in a format inspired by a frozen pop.
Fun, convenient, and highly visual, Sushi Pop is sushi served on a stick, designed to be easy to eat on the go.
A “grab & go” format that keeps everything we love about sushi, but with a decidedly street-food twist. In short, the perfect companion for festivals, events, and summer days.
“At Sushi Taxi, we’ve always wanted to push the boundaries of traditional sushi. That’s exactly what Sushi Pop is: a surprising, summery, fun product… that’s still real, high-quality sushi,” explains Rosanne Giguère, president of Sushi Taxi.
A new sushi creation made in Quebec
For more than 25 years, Sushi Taxi has been developing creations in Quebec that go beyond the conventions of traditional sushi.
Following sushi pizzas, aburi creations, and monthly limited editions, Sushi Pop adds a new way to eat sushi to the brand’s lineup.
The goal? To keep innovating while creating products that bring people together, surprise them, and suit new ways of eating.
Find Sushi Pop at festivals this summer
And because Sushi Pop was designed to be eaten on the go, it’ll be heading out of the restaurants this summer, too. ☀️
The Sushi Taxi crew will be at several festivals and events across Quebec, including:
-
MELO in Repentigny
-
Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) in Quebec City
-
Festivoix in Trois-Rivières
-
and several other upcoming events
An opportunity to grab a Sushi Pop right in the heart of Quebec’s festival scene.
Stay tuned: Sushi Taxi will gradually reveal its event appearances and the world of Sushi Pop throughout the summer.
Where can you find Sushi Pop?
Sushi Pop will be available starting June 25, 2026, at Sushi Taxi restaurants across Quebec, as well as at several summer festivals and events.
Whether it’s before a show, during a festival, for a quick lunch, or simply because eating sushi on a stick is much more fun: this summer, we’re eating our sushi a different way.
